The Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce and League of Women Voters Detroit Lakes invite you to come curious and leave connected at Coffee + Community!
We believe a strong community depends on access to accurate, trustworthy information and that starts with local journalism. Join us for an engaging panel on the importance of local media and how newspapers, radio, and television play a vital role in keeping our community informed and connected.
Our panel will feature voices from local newspaper, radio, and TV offering unique perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing local journalism today.
Time: 8:00–9:15am
Location: Becker County Museum Event Hall
What it is: A facilitated panel of experts (not a Q&A format with the audience) providing insights and perspectives on local journalism. Attendees will receive a handout with contact information, websites, and additional resources related to the topic. Coffee and assorted pastries will be provided!

Hosted by the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce, Art in the Park offers great shopper traffic, strong promotion, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The event is held in a grassy park, so pop-up tents, display weights (no stakes), and carts for grass are recommended. Vendor parking is available a short distance from the booth area after unloading.
