An influential pop-rock, singer-songwriter and record producer with grit, Tommy James' career includes a number of hit singles and albums. James began his career as the front man for Tommy James and The Shondells, who first received national attention in 1966 for their cover of "Hanky Panky" by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich. The group went on to create chart-topping hits like "Sweet Cherry Wine," "Crimson and Clover," "Mony, Mony" and "Crystal Blue Persuasion." Later, James took his career solo, and continued to produce top 20 hits like "Draggin' the Line" and "Three Times in Love."
