Event Description:
Parade of Lights on the Monday after Thanksgiving! This 20+ year tradition starts downtown at 5:00pm with a Parade Party and bonfire prior to parade. The American Cancer Society tree lighting at 5:15pm at the DL Library will also be a part of the night’s festivities. Parade step-off is at 5:30pm, traveling through downtown on Washington Avenue. Everyone is welcome to host a Parade entry at no cost. Floats are announced live from our DJ booth as holiday music fills the air.

Parade will start at DL Public Library and travel down Washington Avenue to the Washington Square Mall.
Date/Time Information:
• Parade Pre-party and downtown shopping: Starting at 5PM there will be fire pits, holiday treats and outdoor music all in the middle of downtown.
• Tree Lighting: the American Cancer Society will be lighting the large evergreen on the lawn of the DL Library at 5:15pm.
• Route: Parade line up and staging will be in the Holy Rosary and Zion Lutheran Church parking lots. The Parade will travel East on Frazee St. 1 block to Washington Ave then 2 blocks north. Parade step-off at 5:30 p.m.
• After the Parade: there will be an opportunity for Photos & Wishes with Santa in the Washington Square Mall.
